1. Who we are
OnePageWonder is a web design service for small businesses and sole traders, operated by Mike Trew. We can be contacted at mike@onepagewonder.co.uk.
For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Mike Trew is the data controller for this website.
2. What data we collect
We collect data in two ways:
a) Information you give us directly
When you fill in our contact form, we collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your business name (if provided)
- The package you're interested in
- Any message you write to us
This information is used only to respond to your enquiry. We do not add you to any mailing list without your explicit consent.
b) Usage data via Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use our website. This may include:
- Pages visited and time spent on each
- The country and approximate region you're visiting from
- The device type, browser, and operating system you're using
- How you arrived at our site (search engine, direct link, etc.)
This data is anonymised and aggregated — we cannot identify you personally from it. Google Analytics is only activated if you accept cookies. You can decline at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the footer.
3. Cookies
Our website uses cookies in the following way:
- Essential cookie: We store your cookie preference (accept/decline) in your browser's local storage. This is essential for the site to remember your choice and does not track you.
- Analytics cookies (optional): If you accept cookies, Google Analytics sets cookies to measure site usage. You can find more information about Google's cookies at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or any third-party marketing tools.
4. How we store and protect your data
Contact form submissions are received and stored by Netlify, our hosting provider, and delivered to our email inbox. Netlify's privacy policy can be found at netlify.com/privacy.
We do not store your personal information in any additional databases or third-party CRM systems. Enquiry emails are stored within our email account and are accessible only to us.
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against unauthorised access or disclosure.
5. How long we keep your data
We retain contact form enquiries for as long as is reasonably necessary for business purposes — typically up to 2 years. If you would like your information removed sooner, simply contact us and we will delete it promptly.
6. Sharing your data
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any third parties. The only third parties that may process your data as part of running this website are:
- Netlify — our website hosting and form processing provider
- Google Analytics — website usage analytics (only if you consent to cookies)
Both are GDPR-compliant services. We have no control over their own privacy practices, and we encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
7. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — you can ask us what data we hold about you
- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your data
- Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data
- Right to object — you can object to our processing of your data
- Right to withdraw consent — you can withdraw cookie consent at any time via "Cookie Settings" in the footer
